Russia will perceive the F-16 fighters, which they plan to transfer to Ukraine, as carriers of nuclear weapons.

    .

The corresponding statement today, May 6, was published by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the aggressor country.

The Russian department claims that the F-16 is a dual-equipped platform – “non-nuclear and nuclear.”

For many years, aircraft of this type formed the basis of the aircraft fleet involved in the so-called “common nuclear missions” of NATO. “Regardless of what specific modification these aircraft will be supplied in, we will perceive them as carriers of nuclear weapons and consider this step by the United States and NATO as a targeted provocation,” the Russian department said.

Let us remind you that the Minister of Defense of the Netherlands, Kaisa Ollongren, said that this country plans to begin sending F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine in the fall, following Denmark.
