The Bosphorus Strait is closed to traffic due to an accident with a cargo ship called BRABUS, whose rudder failed.
Turkey temporarily closed the Bosphorus passage in both directions on the morning of May 6. The reason was an accident on one of the ships, which failed the rudder. About that reports Chief Directorate of Coastal Security.
“A pilot boat, a tugboat and a high-speed rescue boat were immediately dispatched to the 64-meter cargo ship called BRABUS, whose rudder failed at the northern entrance of the Bosphorus while sailing from Trabzon to Bandırma,” said of the statement.
We remind you that the cargo ship USGZurich, traveling from Turkey to Russia, was damaged at the entrance to the Bosphorus.
Previously, Turkey also temporarily closed the Bosphorus Strait due to a ship accident.
