The General Staff named the hottest directions at the front

In the direction of Avdeevsky, the Ukrainian military repelled 20 attacks of Russian invaders, in the direction of Novopavlovsky – 15.

In the past 24 hours, 95 military clashes have taken place on the front, with Russian troops attacking in seven directions. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced this in its morning report on Sunday, May 5.

In total, Russian troops carried out five missile and 69 air strikes, and carried out 74 attacks from multiple rocket-launching systems on the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas.

In the direction of Kupyansk, soldiers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled 12 attacks in the areas of settlements of Sinkovka, Peschanoye, Kislovka in the Kharkov region; Stelmakhovka, Berestovo, Lugansk region.

In the direction of Liman, nine attacks were repelled in the forest areas of Serebryansky in the Lugansk region and Ternov in the Donetsk region.

In the direction of Bakhmut, the soldiers repelled 12 attacks in the areas of Belogorovka settlements in the Luhansk region and Spornoe, Razdolevka, Novy, Kleshchievka, south of Ivanovo in the Donetsk region.

At the direction of Avdeevsky, the defenders repelled 20 attacks in the areas of settlements of Novoaleksandrovka, Sokol, Novopokrovskoye, Umanskoye, Donetsk region.

In the direction of Novopavlovsk, the Defense Forces continue to contain the enemy in the areas of the settlements of Krasnohorivka, Georgievka, Praskovyevka, Vodyanoye and Urozhaynoye in the Donetsk region, where the attackers tried to destroy the defenses of the Ukrainian troops 15 times.

In the direction of Orekhovsky, the enemy attacked the positions of Ukrainian defenders five times in the areas south of Novodarovka, Staromayorsky, Donetsk region, and Rabotino, Zaporozhye region.

In the direction of Kherson, the enemy does not abandon his intention to expel the units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces from their bridges on the left bank of the Dnieper. So, in the past 24 hours, he made 10 unsuccessful attacks on the positions of Ukrainian troops.

At the same time, our soldiers continue to actively inflict losses on the Russian troops in manpower and equipment, depleting the enemy along the entire battle line.

During the day, Defense Forces aircraft carried out strikes on seven areas where personnel are concentrated, three control points, three anti-aircraft missile systems and enemy ammunition depots. Also, the X-59/69 guided aircraft missile was destroyed by Ukrainian air defense forces and means.

Missile forces units inflicted defeat on a control point, an area where personnel were concentrated, a radar station, and another important enemy facility.

We remind you that Ukrainian intelligence has confirmed that the Russian counter-offensive will begin in late May or early June. Today, the Russian army operates as a “single body” with a clear plan and under a single command. The area where the invaders wanted to attack was Kharkov and, possibly, Sumy regions.
