President Vladimir Zelensky arrived on a working visit to the Khmelnitsky region. In Khmelnitsky, he visited the hospital where soldiers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces are treated, the press service of the head of state reported on Friday, May 3.
Zelensky was told that since the beginning of the mass invasion of the Russian Federation, about 8 thousand defenders have provided assistance to this institution. The hospital introduced comprehensive wound treatment using devices that split treatment time, low-traumatic removal of fragments, as well as procedures that accelerate wound healing and preserve limb function.
Vladimir Zelensky presented the Order of Courage, III degree, and medals for Military Service in Ukraine to the military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the State Border Service who were wounded during the defense of Avdiivka, Marinka and Chasov Yar, in the direction of Bakhmut.

The President also awarded medals for saving the lives of military doctors.
