Artem Marchevsky received temporary protection in Slovakia after the Czech Republic imposed sanctions against him.
Slovakia granted pro-Russian propagandist Artem Marchovsky, former general producer of 112 Ukraine TV channel, temporary protection. Czech newspaper Denik N reported this, citing two unnamed sources.
Marchovsky is reported to have received temporary protection status from the Slovak Ministry of Internal Affairs. This information was also confirmed to journalists by Marchovsky’s lawyer Leonid Kushnarenko.
Slovak Interior Minister Matus Shutai Eshtok declined to comment on his department’s decision.
Marchevsky received temporary protection in Slovakia after the Czech Republic imposed sanctions against him. The country froze his assets and money in bank accounts.
Prague suspects Marchovsky of leading, along with pro-Russian former People’s Deputy Viktor Medvedchuk, an influence network funded by the Voice of Europe website. This resource was used for pro-Russian propaganda.
We remind you that earlier the SBU collected evidence of high treason on the part of the pro-Kremlin propagandist Mikhail Shpir, who is hiding in the temporarily occupied territory of the Kherson region. Suspicion was revealed in absentia to the traitor.
The security service also expressed suspicion of Diana Panchenko, a former presenter of Medvedchuk’s TV channels, who supported the occupation of Mariupol.
