Together with his wife, Queen Camilla, the British King visited the Macmillan Cancer Center at University College Hospital.
This is the first official event since the king’s diagnosis was announced on February 5 and the announcement that he would step back from public activities for several months.
According to Buckingham Palace, the monarch will return to royal duties starting this week and will again take part in public events.

Meanwhile, on April 29, Duchess Sophie became the first member of the British royal family to visit Ukraine since the start of the war. Sophie, the daughter-in-law of King Charles, traveled to Ukraine at the request of the British Foreign Office, Buckingham Palace said. The purpose of the visit was to express solidarity with women, men and children affected by the war.
Sophie is married to Charles’ younger brother, Prince Edward. In Ukraine, she met with President Vladimir Zelensky and his wife Elena Zelenskaya, to whom she brought a message from King Charles, the palace reported. In addition, she spoke with war-affected residents of Ukraine.
