This airfield hosts six Tu-22M3 strategic bombers. This is a fifth of the Russian park. The specialized publication Defense Express writes about this, citing satellite images published by OSINT analyst Evergreen Intel on the social network X.
The Russians also stationed four Su-24M/MR aircraft and approximately 20 helicopters of various types at Mozdok. The enemy also drew silhouettes of fake Tu-22M3 and Su-24M/MR at the airfield.
It is noted that over the past month, Russian troops have regularly attacked Ukraine with Kh-22 supersonic cruise missiles launched from the Tu-22M3. The enemy used five missiles of this type on March 22, three missiles on March 28, and six missiles in an attack on April 19.
Let us recall that on April 19, the Ukrainian military hit a Russian strategic bomber Tu-22M3, from which the invaders were shelling Ukraine. The missile carrier was destroyed by anti-aircraft missile units of the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in cooperation with the Main Intelligence Directorate. An enemy plane crashed in the Stavropol region of Russia.
