Alexander Yakovets led the Ukrainian Armed Forces Support Forces for less than two months. Now, he will head the State Special Transport Service.
President Vladimir Zelensky signed an order dismissing Alexander Yakovets from the post of commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It was found out on Friday, April 26.
In another order, Zelensky appointed Yakovets as head of the State Special Transport Service administration.
The head of state also dismissed Bogdan Bondar, head of the administration of the State Special Transport Service.
Note that on March 4, Zelensky appointed Yakovets commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. So, he worked in this position for less than two months. Since February 19, 2020, Yakovets has been the head of the engineering troops of the Armed Forces Support Forces command.
