The National Police investigators revealed the suspicion to the Deputy Director General Rosatom, Major General of Police Nikolai Mulyukin, who during the Chernobyl occupation led the robbery of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. This is what Minister of Internal Affairs Igor Klimenko said in Telegram on Friday, April 26.
According to him, this is the first suspicion against a Russian official of this rank. The minister emphasized that Mulyukin was personally at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant.
“His “specialists” do not know what to do with the station during decommissioning. the National Guardsmen who defended it,” Klimenko noted.
The national police have identified more than 100 Russians who participated in the seizure and theft of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. “It has been confirmed that Mulyukin led the occupiers of the area,” the minister added.
According to the Office of the Prosecutor General, Deputy General Director for Security of the Company’s JSC Leading Design and Research Institute of Industrial Technology Rosatom charged with violating the laws and customs of war stipulated by international treaties.
