An unknown explosive detonated, setting the vehicles on fire. While extinguishing the fire, a second explosion occurred.
In Nikolaev, five rescuers were injured while putting out the fire. The press service of the State Emergency Service reported this on the evening of Wednesday, April 24.
“This evening there was an explosion of an unknown explosive, which caused the vehicles occupied while extinguishing the fire, a second explosion occurred, five employees of the State Emergency Service were injured,” the message said.
We remind you that the State Emergency Service of Ukraine has changed the response protocols regarding the work of rescuers, as well as the use of engineering and special equipment.
