Two drones crashed into the NLMK oxygen station building, the building was partially destroyed, journalists reported.
Two oxygen units were stopped at the Novolipetsk Metallurgical Plant after the UAV attack, as the oxygen station building was destroyed. The Russian publication Astra, which positions itself as independent, reported this with reference to its sources on Wednesday, April 24.
“In the evening, two drones crashed into the NLMK oxygen station building, the building was partially destroyed, two oxygen units of the plant were stopped… No casualties are known,” the message said.
The media recalled that the main task of oxygen stations in metallurgical plants is to provide production of the required amount of compressed air.
The governor of the Lipetsk region Artamonov commented on this event on the social network.
“An attempt was made to strike the infrastructure in the industrial zone of Lipetsk. The matter is isolated, there is no threat of an attack on the residential area, only evacuation in the area where the UAV fell,” assured the official of Russia.
Lipetsk residents immediately after the explosions reported that the Novolipetsk Metallurgical Plant (NLMK) was attacked, the media recalled.
As we already wrote, on the night of Wednesday, April 24, a UAV fell in the industrial zone of Russian Lipetsk.
Let’s add that drones have already attacked the NLMK on February 24 of this year. Then the media said that it was one of the largest metallurgical plants in Russia, working in the military-industrial complex of the aggressor country.
