Only five members remain in the Accounts Chamber, but the Rada insists it can still make decisions.
The Verkhovna Rada dismissed seven members of the Accounts Chamber due to the expiration of their terms of office. MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak announced this on Telegram on Tuesday, April 23.
“Parliament dismissed seven members of the Accounts Chamber whose term of office expired on March 15, 2024,” Zheleznyak wrote.
According to him, the corresponding decision was supported by 264 people’s deputies.
Viktor Bogun, Andrey Didyk, Vasily Neizvestny, Irina Ivanova, Fire Caesar, Igor Yaremchuk and Andrey Meisner were fired. The latter is the deputy chairman of the Accounts Chamber.
Zheleznyak noted that now there are only five members left in the Accounts Chamber.
“But his colleagues insist that he can still make decisions (well, yes, they interpret quorum creatively),” he emphasized.
We remind you that on January 10, the Verkhovna Rada appointed Olga Peschanskaya to the post of head of the Accounts Chamber.
It was also reported that the parliament updated the Court of Accounts contrary to the position of the G7.
