According to the publication, the Pentagon wants the aid to be sent immediately after President Joe Biden signs the relevant law. The Senate may pass it this Tuesday.
It was noted that the new package could exceed the latest American aid in the amount of $300 million that Ukraine previously received. These are probably armored vehicles, Bradley Fighting Vehicles. The package is also expected to include older Humvees and M113 armored personnel carriers, as well as missiles, a US official said.
The aid package includes artillery and air defense equipment, another source said.
“The administration is preparing a large package to help meet Ukraine’s battlefield needs,” an official said.
