Law enforcement officials have shown a video of the arrest of men suspected of attacking police in the Vinnytsia region.
The national police showed on Facebook on Sunday, April 21, a video of the arrest of men suspected of attacking police in the Vinnytsia region.
“As a result of a complex and successful police operation, the attackers were detained. They hid in an abandoned building in the Odessa region and intended to leave the border of Ukraine,” law enforcement officials said.
The police also found the car of the attackers. Bloody clothes, shoes of the defendants, documents and other material evidence were found and recovered from the car.
“The detainees say that the motive for the attack on the police was that they were carrying live grenades, however, whether this is true is being determined by the investigation,” added the National Police.
We remind you that today the police detained the suspects of the attack on the police officers in the Vinnytsia region. The detainees are military personnel, father and son, 52 and 26 years old. They face life in prison.
As you know, on the night of April 20 in the Vinnytsia region, two military men killed one policeman and wounded another. The police stopped the car to check it, and two military men in the car opened fire on the police. 20-year-old police officer Maxim Zaretsky died from his injuries, and his partner was injured.
