After the vote in Congress, the package of bills will quickly pass through the Senate and be signed by Biden.
A package of bills that includes aid to Ukraine will quickly pass through the upper house of the US Congress after the House of Representatives voted on it. The Democratic Majority Leader in the US Senate, Chuck Schumer, announced this on Friday, April 19, on social media. X.
“If the House sends a national security package, we will quickly send it to US President Joe Biden. I hope the House will do so – delay will be costly for the US and our allies,” Schumer wrote.
He also emphasized that if the United States does not support Ukraine, Kyiv will lose the war.
We remind you that voting on bills containing aid to Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan will take place on Saturday, April 20.
Biden also promised to “immediately sign” House Speaker Johnson’s aid bills for Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan as soon as Congress approves them.
