The Dutch government will provide €223 million for initiatives to quickly supply Ukraine with additional air defense equipment and artillery shells. On April 19, Dutch Defense Minister Kais Ollongren announced this at a meeting of the Ukraine-NATO Council.
According to her, the situation in Ukraine may turn out to be critical. That’s why it’s important that allies “do their best.” And military aid, for which Amsterdam will allocate funds, will arrive in Ukraine as quickly as possible.
It is noted that the Netherlands will allocate 150 million to Germany’s air defense initiative for Ukraine, and another 60 million euros will go to the purchase of short-range air defense systems to shoot down Russian UAVs.
Let us remind you that on April 15, the Dutch government decided to allocate an additional 4.4 billion euros for military and humanitarian support to Ukraine for the period 2024-2026.
