In the Kharkov region on the evening of April 18, a pipeline exploded. Eyewitnesses reported on social networks that asphalt was melting within a radius of 40 m from the explosion, and a column of flame was about 70 m.

The fact of the explosion was confirmed to Ukrinform in the Kharkov Regional Air Force, and subsequently to the Gas Transmission System Operator.
The event is not related to military operations. There were no casualties. The circumstances and details are being clarified,” the OVA press service commented.
The accident on the gas pipeline in the Kharkov region will not affect gas supply to consumers, Naftogaz reports. The situation is under control.
As the company explained, a technological accident with a fire occurred on the verge of the balance sheet ownership of the gas pipeline of Ukrgazvydobuvannya and the GTS Operator of Ukraine.
According to currently available information, no one was injured as a result of the emergency.
