Biden promised to “immediately sign” Johnson’s aid bills for Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan once Congress approves them.
US President Joe Biden said he fully supports House Speaker Mike Johnson’s initiative to help Ukraine and Israel, as well as provide necessary humanitarian assistance to the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and strengthen stability in the Indo-Pacific region. This was reported by the White House press service.
Biden promised to “immediately sign” Johnson’s aid bills for Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan once Congress approves them.
“The House of Representatives must pass this package this week, and the Senate must quickly follow suit. I will sign this legislation immediately to send a message to the world: we stand with our friends and will not allow Iran or Russia to succeed,” added the US President.
We remind you that Mike Johnson said that the vote on bills containing aid to Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan will take place on Saturday, April 20.
As reported, the US House of Representatives published three separate draft laws on aid to Ukraine, Israel and allies in the Indo-Pacific region. The document, in particular, directs the US President to provide Ukraine with ATACMS missiles and agree to the reimbursement of economic aid from Kiev.
