The Ukrainian Prime Minister believes that the high-quality application of sanctions is the most important direction in countering Russian arms.
Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmygal met with US Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo. One of the topics of discussion was the creation of missiles and drones in Russia. The head of the Ukrainian government reported this on his Telegram channel.
According to him, he talked with him about the tightening of sanctions against Russia, including in the field of high technology.
“We must weaken the aggressor’s ability to create new missiles and drones. The high-quality application of sanctions is the most important direction in countering Russian weapons,” the official stressed.
Shmygal separately raised the subject of the confiscation of Russian assets.
At the same time, the parties discussed bilateral economic cooperation.
According to him, market access and trade is the most effective way to support our country’s economy while investment projects are still being planned.
“Gina Raimondo’s initiative to free Ukrainian steel from duties has become an important support for businesses operating in cities under constant shelling,” said the head of government.
We remind you that Prime Minister Denis Shmyhal is currently visiting the United States.
As reported, Shmygal is conducting a series of negotiations in Chicago with the US Special Representative for the Economic Recovery of Ukraine, Penny Pritzker.
