How many drones and what type will be sent to Ukraine in the first batch is not yet known.
Latvia is preparing to send the first batch of drones to Ukraine as part of the Drone Coalition. This is what Latvian Prime Minister Evika Silina said after a government meeting, Bloomberg reports.
“The drones are ready, as requested by our colleagues in Ukraine,” the prime minister said.
The drones will be delivered “as soon as possible,” he said.
We remind you that in 2024 Latvia will provide military support to Ukraine in the amount of approximately 112 million euros.
It was also reported that Ukraine and Latvia will launch joint production of shells and drones. The Latvian government is ready to continue supporting Ukraine at the level of 0.25% of GDP annually.
