Germany provides additional air defense assistance and encourages other countries to follow suit.
The German Ambassador to Ukraine, Martin Jäger, appealed to the allied countries with a call, following the example of Germany, to transfer additional air defense systems to Ukraine. It is stated in his message on social network X.
“Germany is providing additional assistance in the field of air defense. We are sending another Patriot system with all its assets. Then the country will have three systems from Germany. In addition, here are also Iris- T and Gepard. Now others must join quickly!”, said the message.
We remind you that the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky spoke on the phone with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and, as a result of the negotiations, announced that Germany has decided to transfer another Patriot air defense system to Ukraine.
The Office of the President of Ukraine reported that missiles for such air defense systems as American Patrioti and German Iris-T have not been exhausted in Ukraine, but the Ukrainian Armed Forces are experiencing a shortage of critical ammunition.
