Since the start of the war, 61-year-old Alexander Demidenko has attended anti-war pickets and helped hundreds of Ukrainian refugees.

In Russia, the Federal Penitentiary Service said the cause of death in a punishment cell for volunteer Alexander Demidenko, who helped Ukrainian refugees, was suicide. It was reported by Radio Liberty.

The death of Demidenko in a punishment cell in the Belgorod region became known on April 8. At the same time, the FSIN statement said that he died three days earlier.

From the beginning of the war, 61-year-old Alexander Demidenko went on anti-war pickets and helped hundreds of Ukrainian refugees: he accommodated them at home, and also helped them return to their homeland -town, driving them to the border.

In October, Demidenko was detained, and then arrested and sent to a detention center. During a search of his house, signs of beating were found on the volunteer’s body.

According to media reports, they planned to take the volunteer from Belgorod to St.

It was previously reported that a volunteer who helped Ukrainian refugees died in a punishment cell in the Russian Federation.

We remind you that in February, opposition politician Alexei Navalny died in a Russian colony.
