The fight is already underway on the territory of the industrial zone of the Azot plant, next week will be decisive, analysts say.
Next week will be decisive in the battles for Severodonetsk, according to the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).
They expect Russian troops to intensify attacks on Armed Forces of Ukraine positions to control the entire city. Now the fighting continues in the territory of the industrial zone of the Azot plant.
The ISW also states that the occupiers are likely to intensify operations to block Ukrainian communication lines along the T1302 Bakhmut-Lysichansk highway to support the escalation of operations in Severodonetsk-Lysichansk.
It was also reported that Russian troops continue to focus on countering the further advance of the Armed Forces of Ukraine north of Kharkov on the international border, and are also conducting defensive operations along the southern axis.
Analysts note that partisans are hindering the strengthening of control over Russia’s occupied territories. As a result, Russia has not achieved public support for the “attachment” of these territories.
In addition, it was noted that the Russian occupation authorities in Starobilsk, Luhansk region, are forcing people to participate in collective farms and forcing those working in this method to obtain Russian citizenship.
Earlier, the Ministry of Defense announced that the enemy intends to enter the administrative borders of the Luhansk region until June 26. Decisive battles were held in Severodonetsk, Lisichansk and its environs.
