The restrictions will remain in effect until Israel declares an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.

Turkey has restricted the export of certain goods to Israel since April 9. This was reported by the press service of the Turkish Ministry of Trade, Anadolu reports.

It noted that the restrictions will remain in effect until Israel declares an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and allows adequate and uninterrupted aid to be provided to the Palestinian exclave.

The restrictions apply to 54 groups of goods: from fittings to sheet steel, from marble to ceramics.

As is known, Türkiye does not support Israel in the war with Hamas. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan does not consider Hamas militants terrorists.

Turkey has also reportedly cut exports to Russia by a third due to the threat of US sanctions.
