Cases of execution of Ukrainian prisoners of war have been recorded since March 2022. The court has already sentenced the first Russian military man for the execution of a defense lawyer in the Chernigov region. Complicating the investigation is the fact that prosecutors and investigators usually do not have access to the crime scene or the ability to examine the body.
“But this work is underway. Ukraine has unique experience in documenting crimes, even without access to the territory… We cooperate with the International Criminal Court, UN Monitoring Mission, intelligence agencies and non-governmental organizations which also collects information . Our task now is to document, record , tell the world the truth. Criminals will go to the dock, just a moment,” emphasized Belousov.
We remind you that on April 7, a video appeared on social networks, which showed how the Russian military shot three captured Ukrainian soldiers. The video shows how a representative of the Russian Armed Forces fired several shots at unarmed, stationary military personnel, presumably from a machine gun.
As reported, the order for the brutal killing of three Ukrainian prisoners of war may have been given by the commander of the Russian Armed Forces, Sergei Ishtuganov.
