Erdogan told Guterres that he continues to offer Ukraine and the Russian Federation the resumption of peace negotiations and the end of the war through diplomacy.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and UN Secretary General António Guterres discussed options for unblocking Ukrainian grain exports in a telephone conversation. This was reported by the Office of the President of Turkey.

“President Erdogan has announced the resumption of joint efforts to export Ukrainian grain through the Black Sea, which will be a factor in preventing a global food crisis,” the message said.

Erdogan told Guterres that he continues to offer Ukraine and the Russian Federation the resumption of peace negotiations and the end of the war through diplomacy.

It was previously reported that Hungary volunteered to assist Ukraine in grain exports.

At the same time, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Russia does not interfere with the export of Ukrainian grain.
