Ukrainian intelligence officers and the Security Service of Ukraine organized a joint operation to destroy an oil refinery in Russian Nizhnekamsk (Tatarstan). Interfax-Ukraine reported this with reference to an informed source on Tuesday, April 7.
“The night” bavovna” at the refinery in Tatarstan was a joint operation of the SBU and the Main Intelligence Directorate. A Ukrainian long-range drone hit the main oil processing unit at the refinery in Nizhnekamsk, after which a fire broke out there, ” the source said.
It is stated that the capacity of this installation is 8 million tons of oil, which is 2.6% of the total annual refining of the Russian Federation. At the same time, the plant itself is one of the five largest oil refineries in Russia.
“We will continue to systematically work to ensure that the Russian Federation has fewer opportunities to finance its war of aggression against Ukraine. We will continue to cut off the supply of oxygen to the country’s gas stations to reduce the flow of petrodollars to Russian military budget ,” the source concluded.
Earlier on Tuesday it became known that drones attacked the TANECO oil refinery complex in Nizhnekamsk.
In addition, in Tatarstan, a plant where “shaheeds” gather was attacked.
