The FSB says that icons and church equipment with explosives were brought from Ukraine along the route Romania – Hungary – Slovakia – Poland – Lithuania – Latvia – Russia.
The Russian FSB says that it intercepted the icons of the Pskov region with explosives – hexogen, which were brought to the Russian Federation from the territory of Ukraine through the countries of the European Union under the guise of church equipment. The Russian media wrote about it in connection with the FSB press service.
It is said that icons and church equipment were brought from Ukraine on the route Romania – Hungary – Slovakia – Poland – Lithuania – Latvia – Russia.
The intelligence service reported that during the inspection of a car at the international automobile checkpoint Ubilinka (Pskov region, Latvian-Russian section of the state border), FSB officers discovered foreign explosives in a batch of Orthodox icon and church equipment: 27 homemade explosives camouflaged in icons and ready-to-use devices, 70 kg of industrially made plastic explosive, an electric detonator and shot parts for an RPG-7.
The intelligence service did not reveal the identity of the detainee and did not provide other details of the special operation. The detainee allegedly said that in Romania the loading of icons and equipment took place.
FSB says hexogen is hidden in imported icons. According to the expert, the seized mass was enough “to blow up a five-story residential building.” He said that industrial explosive devices with sets of moderators, used by special units of the armed forces for sabotage, were also discovered.
We remind you that drones attacked the territory of the Alabuga special economic zone near the city of Elabuga in Tatarstan. There, according to various sources, from two to five people were injured. Some media in Ukraine wrote that this was an operation of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
Drones have also reportedly attacked another Russian oil refinery, also in Tatarstan. We are talking about the TANECO oil refining complex in Nizhnekamsk.
