The invaders use 1,500 kg bombs to wear out Ukrainian air defenses. The task of the Defense Forces is to combat aircraft carrying such bombs.
Russia has a “massive number” of bombs weighing 1,500 kg, capable of completely destroying multi-storey buildings. The spokesman of the Air Force Command, Ilya Yevlash, announced this on Monday, April 1, during a telethon.
“This is a very powerful weapon. 1,500 kg is enough to fold a nine-story panel house or an old Khrushchev,” said Yevlash.
According to him, the Russian Federation uses such bombs to exhaust the Ukrainian air defense.
The main task of the Defense Forces, Yevlash said, is the fight against the carriers of such bombs – Su-34 and Su-35 fighters. This is not an easy task, but the Ukrainian military can perform such complex tasks. He added that for this Ukraine needs a more modern Western system.
Let’s recall that Russia’s use of gliding bombs weighing 1.5 tons in Ukraine was first reported in March last year.
Earlier it was reported that Russia is mass producing the heaviest glide bomb – the one and a half ton FAB-1500-M54.
Second after nuclear: Russia begins mass production of another bomb
