The occupiers accused Vasily Malyuk of allegedly organizing a terrorist attack on Crocus and asked Ukraine to arrest him.
Russia has officially named the head of Ukraine’s Security Service Vasily Malyuk as apparently responsible for the Crocus terrorist attack near Moscow and therefore Moscow is demanding that Kyiv arrest him. This statement was issued by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.
“The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs conveyed to the Ukrainian authorities requests within the framework of the International Convention for the Suppression of Terrorist Bombings (ICTTB) and the International Convention for the Suppression of the Financing of Terrorism (ICFT) for immediate arrest and extradition of all persons involved in these terrorist attacks,” the statement said.
The Russian department said that the terrorist attack on the Crocus City Hall allegedly had Ukrainian traces: “The investigative actions carried out by the Russian authorities indicate that the traces of all of these crimes led to Ukraine.”
The message also mentioned the events related to the murder of Daria Dugina, the bombing of propagandists Vladlen Tatarsky and Zakhar Prilepin, as well as the raids of the Russian Volunteer Corps.
The Ukrainian Security Service has already responded to the Russian Foreign Ministry’s statement. According to the SBU, such reports about terrorism are “especially cynical against the scenario of the anniversary of the liberation of Bucha and the atrocities committed by the Russians there.”
“Trying to appeal to the norms of international law, especially the Convention on the Suppression of Terrorism, the Russian Foreign Ministry forgot that Putin was officially placed on the international wanted list – in particular, he is expected at the Hague Tribunal for the abduction of Ukrainian children. Statements about terrorism are especially cynical from the terrorist country itself against the scenario of the anniversary of the liberation of Bucha and the atrocities committed by the Russians there. We remember every dead Ukrainian and will do everything to ensure that the enemy receives fair revenge. Therefore, any words of the Russian Foreign Ministry are insignificant. The Russian Federation can only make a statement, which It is worth paying attention to – to announce to the whole world about your defeat in the war and the withdrawal of occupation troops from Ukrainian soil,” the department told Ukrainskaya Pravda.
We remind you that on March 26, a Moscow court arrested the head of the SBU in absentia. Vasily Malyuk called the decisions of “Kremlin pocket judges” unworthy of attention.
As the Russian media clarified, we are talking about fixing the truck explosion on the Crimean Bridge in October 2022.
