As a result of the large-scale Russian attack, energy infrastructure was damaged in six regions of Ukraine. Prime Minister Denis Shmygal announced this on Telegram on Friday, March 29.
“Tonight, Russia continued its barbaric attacks against the Ukrainian energy system. There was damage to the energy infrastructure in the regions of Dnepropetrovsk, Vinnitsa, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lvov, Cherkassy, and Chernivtsi. Emergency shutdowns have been applied in some regions,” he wrote.
The prime minister stressed that Ukraine needs more air defense systems to secure critical infrastructure and protect the population.
“This is the main topic of communication with our international partners,” he added.
In this regard, Interior Minister Igor Klimenko reported in Telegram that in the evening and in the morning the Russians attacked 10 regions of Ukraine. In addition to energy infrastructure, civilian facilities and private homes were damaged, and six people were injured.
According to him, more than 150 rescuers and 35 specialized vehicles of the State Emergency Service were involved in eliminating the consequences of the enemy’s attack at night and in the morning.

Air defense forces destroyed 84 enemy targets. In total, the enemy used 99 air attack weapons.
