In the Khmelnitsky region, a 15-year-old teenager was injured by a grenade explosion. The press service of the Khmelnytsky region police reported this on Wednesday, March 27.
The incident took place in Shepetivka. The police received a notification of an explosion in the apartment and went to the scene.
“At the scene, law enforcement officials established that the teenager found the fuse of a live grenade in the closet. He pulled out the pin, then an explosion occurred. As a result, the victim received multiple injuries and was hospitalized in the intensive care unit of the children’s hospital in Khmelnitsky. Apart from the teenager, no one was injured,” – said the message.
Criminal proceedings have been initiated, law enforcement officials are establishing the circumstances of the incident and the source of the ammunition.
