Apartments, land plots, houses, offices, cars and parking spaces worth UAH 70 million were registered in the name of the official’s relatives. Pavel Kirilenko, although he uses part of this property, does not declare it.
A criminal case was opened against the head of the Antimonopoly Committee, Pavel Kirilenko, based on facts made public during a journalistic investigation into the Schema program. Radio Liberty reported this on Monday, March 25, citing the press service of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office.
It is known that the case of illegal enrichment and declaration of false information is being conducted by SAPO together with the National Anti-Corruption Bureau.
The case was opened on March 22, the day after the release of a journalistic investigation that the Kirilenko family acquired real estate and cars with a total market value of more than UAH 70 million in 2020-2023.
According to journalists, the family of the leader of AMCU owns: a large property and two plots of land near Kiev, 200 square meters of real estate office in the city, two crossovers, three apartments with parking spaces in elite residential complex of the capital. and four apartments with parking spaces in Uzhgorod.
The media said that all these properties are registered in the name of the parents and grandmother of Kirilenko’s wife, while none of his relatives have a business, and the official family income is not enough to buy all of this.
In addition, as the media notes, the official did not indicate in the declaration the real estate and cars used by his family.
Journalists say that this elite property was acquired by the official’s relatives during the period when he headed the Donetsk regional administration and before he moved to Kyiv to the post of head of the AMCU.
Kirilenko told Schemes that the sources of his wealth were the initial capital of the family, which was formed in the 1990s, when the grandmother of his future wife “profitably sold” the parts of the Stirol plant in Gorlovka, which he received as a plant employee. Journalists could not find its official confirmation.
Relatives of the head of the AMCU were also unable to provide documentary evidence of this, saying that “everyone remained in the occupied Gorlovka,” the publication notes.
Schemes say that Kirilenko did not indicate in the declaration the property that he and his family use: it is a four-room apartment in Kyiv with an area of about 200 square meters, where the official lives with his family, as well as a BMW X3 car, used by his wife.
Let’s recall that Kirilenko headed the Antimonopoly Committee in September 2023. Before this, since July 2019, he headed the Donetsk OVA.
