The photo shows two hits: a pier near one ship and a dry dock near another.
Satellite images have appeared online showing the consequences of a missile attack on Russia’s large landing ships Yamal and Azov in occupied Sevastopol. The photo on Sunday, March 14, was published by OSINT analyst Tyler Rogoway on the social network X.
“You can see two hits: one ship’s pier, and another’s dry dock. It’s impossible to see visible damage to the ships themselves,” Rogoway wrote.
At the same time, he recognizes their potential harm.
“One of the ships was being towed to a dry dock, so it probably received some damage. Additionally, a stain was spreading from the ship, which could indicate a leak of fuel and lubricants,” the analyst said.
He later added that after a quick review of high-resolution satellite images, there were no clear signs of serious damage to the landing ships docked there. However, Rogoway said, that doesn’t mean they haven’t been hit, and this assessment could change.
We remind you that the Office of Strategic Communications (StratCom) of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported that the Ukrainian military conducted successful strikes on the targets of Russian aggressors in Sevastopol. In particular, strikes were carried out on large landing ships (BDK) Yamal and Azov. The communications center of the Russian occupation forces and several infrastructure facilities of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in temporarily occupied Sevastopol were also hit.
