The Supreme Court of Spain has decided to temporarily block Telegram messenger in the country. Reuters reported this on March 23, citing a court source.

It was noted that the four media companies EGEDA, Mediaset España, A3 Media and Movistar Plus complained that users could upload content to the platform without permission.

The judge decided to block Telegram in the country during the investigation. The implementation of this decision is entrusted to mobile operators.

Access to Telegram services in Spain will be suspended from March 25th.

Telegram is the fourth most popular messaging service in Spain, used by almost 19% of Spaniards.

Let’s remember that earlier today the Ukrainian intelligence announced that Telegram contains some threats to national security, and Ukraine needs to look for options to solve this problem.
