Zaporozhye NPP again found itself on the verge of a blackout. Now for the second time in a day. The invaders destroyed the line supplying the station; its operation was resumed afterwards. The Ministry of Energy of Ukraine reported this on its Telegram channel on Saturday, February 23.
“For the second time in 24 hours, the Zaporozhye NPP remained on a power line. Last night, due to peeling, the 330 kV power line was de-energized, as a result of which the additional circuit of the station’s power supply has been taken out of operation,” the message said.
The ministry said that the operation of the line has been resumed, and the power supply needs of the Zaporizhzhya NPP are being fulfilled in full.
As already written, on the morning of Friday, March 22, Energoatom reported that the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant, due to a massive missile attack from the Russian Federation, was on the verge of another blackout.
Let’s add that there was an explosion in Zaporozhye. It was also reported that critical infrastructure was damaged in the Zaporozhye and Vinnytsia regions.
Subsequently, it became known that Ukrainian power engineers continued to operate the external overhead line VL-750kV Dneprovskaya after the Russians damaged it on March 22 in a massive shelling.
