Zelensky called for tougher sanctions against Russia

Zelensky noted that every Russian strike on Ukraine indicates that world sanctions against Russia are not enough.

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said Western countries need to tighten sanctions against Russia. The aggressor country’s missiles, including the Daggers, are made up of dozens of foreign components. He said this in his evening speech on March 21.

Zelensky noted that every Russian strike on Ukraine indicates that world sanctions against Russia are not enough. Each missile contains components made by companies in other countries.

The President clarified that the Daggers have at least 49 types of components that Russia does not produce, and the X-101 has at least 53 types of such components.

“A significant part of them is what the companies of the free world have done and brought to Russia through various “grey” schemes. It is necessary to block such schemes and all those who support them . More sanctions are needed. More responsibility is needed for sanction circumvention schemes,” – said the head of state.

He stressed that more pressure is needed on Russia.

Let’s recall that the President of Ukraine appealed to EU leaders to provide more assistance in air defense and ammunition, as well as to promote progress on Ukraine’s path to European integration.
