This decision creates a precedent for the dissolution of local councils in non-occupied territories and the transfer of their powers to the High Administration, People’s Deputy Irina Gerashchenko said on Facebook.
This is a blow to self-government. The problem in Zaporozhye really exists; the regional council has not been able to meet for two years. But it is necessary to terminate the powers of collaborators and corrupt officials in the Zaporozhye Regional Council and reboot its work with the help of new respectable deputies.
The People’s Deputy wrote that European Solidarity did not vote for this resolution, because it sees significant threats to decentralization in such decisions. She published a photo of the voting results in the Rada.
The liquidation of the Zaporozhye regional council was supported by “servants”, “Rodina”, and OPZZH. For – 236 people’s deputies.
