The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces published operational information about the Russian invasion on the evening of Sunday, March 17.
“During the day, 63 military clashes were recorded. In general, the enemy launched 7 missiles and 55 air strikes, carried out 62 attacks from multiple launch rocket systems on the positions of our troops and populated area. As a result of the Russian terrorist attack, unfortunately, there were dead and injured among the civilian population. Multi-storey and private buildings were destroyed and damaged,” the report said.
In the direction of Kupyansk, the enemy made two unsuccessful attacks on the positions of the Defense Forces in the Sinkovka settlement area, Kharkov region.
In the direction of Liman, our soldiers repelled an enemy attack in the area of the village of Rozdolovka, Donetsk region, where the enemy tried to break the defenses of our troops.
In the direction of Bakhmut, our soldiers repelled seven enemy attacks in the areas of Ivanovskoye and Klishchievka settlements, Donetsk region.
In the Avdeevsky direction, our defenders repulsed 11 enemy attacks in the areas of Berdich, Tonenkoye, Pervomaiskoye, Orlovka, Alexandropol and Nevelskoye settlements in the Donetsk region.
In the direction of Novopavlovsk, the Defense Forces continued to contain the enemy in the areas of Krasnogorovka, Georgievka, Novomikhailovka and Pobeda, where the enemy, with the support of aviation, tried 25 times to destroy the defenses of our troop.
In the direction of Orekhovsky, the enemy attacked the positions of our defenders 5 times in the areas of Robotinoye and northwest of Verbovoye, Zaporozhye region.
In the direction of Kherson, during the day the enemy made three attacks on the positions of our troops on the left bank of the Dnieper.
During the day, Defense Forces aviation conducted strikes on 6 areas where enemy personnel, weapons and military equipment were concentrated. Missile forces units inflicted defeat on 2 areas where enemy personnel were concentrated.
Let’s remember that since the beginning of the aggressive war against Ukraine, the Russian troops have lost 430 thousand soldiers killed. In the past 24 hours alone, the aggressor nation has lost 1,160 military personnel.
