The air defense forces of the Russian Defense Ministry in Domodedovo repelled an attack by two drones flying towards Moscow.
Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced the drone attack in the Russian capital. He announced this on Sunday, March 17, on a social network.
“The air defense forces of the Russian Ministry of Defense in the Domodedovo urban district repelled the attack of two drones flying towards Moscow. According to preliminary data, there were no injuries or casualties in the area where the debris fell.
Subsequently, he added that a drone was shot down in Ramenskoye and one of the districts of the city of Stupino.
Previously, the mayor reported that a drone was shot down near Moscow on Tuesday this week, and before that there was no attack for almost two months – since mid-January.
Let us recall that on March 16, in the Samara region of the Russian Federation, drones attacked two oil refineries; on March 15, three UAVs attacked an oil refinery in the Kaluga region of the Russian Federation: the equipment was damaged.
It was also reported that in one night SBU drones attacked three factories in Russia – in the cities of Ryazan, Kstovo and Kirishi.
And on March 12, drones disabled one of the most powerful oil refineries in Russia, LUKOIL-Nizhny Novgorodnefteorgsintez. It processes 5% of the country’s oil.
