Nine Ukrainian businessmen registered in the territory of the temporarily occupied Crimea were found suspicious.
Four helicopters and two planes belonging to Crimean businessmen involved in financing Russia’s armed invasion were arrested. This was reported by the press service of the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine on Wednesday, March 13.
“At the request of the prosecutors of the Cherkasy Regional Prosecutor’s Office, property belonging to people associated with the financing of Russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine was seized. We are talking about four Mi aircraft -2 and two AN-2 (Antonov-2) aircraft,” the statement said.
In February, nine Ukrainian entrepreneurs registered in Crimea and engaged in recreational and agro-industrial entrepreneurship were notified of suspicion.
To block movable assets and prevent their re-registration in dummies to avoid further confiscation of property, at the request of the prosecutor, helicopters and planes belonging to a limited liability company, where the suspects are the founders and ultimate beneficiaries, were arrested.
Property and corporate rights of businessmen worth more than 35 million hryvnias were also seized.
After the annexation of the peninsula, businessmen re-registered their businesses in accordance with the requirements of Russian law. Currently, they conduct their business activities according to the laws of the Russian Federation and pay taxes, which finance the aggressor country.
Let’s recall that earlier the court confiscated the assets of the Russian propagandist Dmitry Kiselyov. ARMA was given $1 million which was taken by the former chairmen of the All-Russian Military Commission of the Chernihiv region.
