The event must implement a creatively defined and asymmetrical rise, says Radoslaw Sikorski.
Military personnel from several NATO countries are already on the territory of Ukraine. This statement was made by Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski during a discussion on the topic of 25 years of Poland’s membership in the Alliance.
At the same time, he refused to name specific countries that sent their military to Ukraine, and how many such states.
“Unlike other politicians, I will not list these countries,” said the minister.
Sikorsky supported French President Emmanuel Macron’s initiative to send NATO troops to Ukraine. In his opinion, this is a “strategic move” that will disrupt Russia’s planned scenario.
“The event must implement a creatively defined and asymmetrical increase. I support the initiative of President Emmanuel Macron,” said the Polish official.
According to him, by attacking Ukraine, Russia has shown that it cannot civilize Western values and cannot live peacefully with its neighbors, so NATO should return to its original role.
It should be noted that on Monday, February 26, the Prime Minister of Slovakia, Robert Fico, said that some NATO and EU member countries are discussing the possibility of sending their military to Ukraine after concluding bilateral agreements. He hastened to declare that Slovakia “will not take such a step,” but will respect the decisions of NATO countries that agree to send troops to Ukraine.
Subsequently, French President Emmanuel Macron spoke about the possibility of sending military personnel to Ukraine, and French Prime Minister Gabriel Attal also did not rule out the possibility of sending French military personnel to Ukraine.
Macron later named the condition for sending troops to Ukraine.
