The protest at this checkpoint will continue on March 13. Representative of the State Border Service of Ukraine Andrey Demchenko spoke about this on air at the national telethon.
He noted that although Krakovets is unblocked and traffic there is intense, a queue of trucks on Polish territory towards the border crossing in the direction of Ukraine remains – this is about 600 cargo vehicles.
At the same time, truck traffic continues to be blocked at the other five checkpoints. There are currently 1.7 thousand trucks in queues there.
Polish farmers continue to block traffic. Now it is in five directions. Before that, as you know, there were six,” he noted.
The passage of trucks is completely blocked towards Poland in two directions – Yagodin and Shegini. Over the past 24 hours, about 50 trucks passed towards Ukraine through the Yagodin checkpoint, and about 35 through Shegini.
Demchenko noted that Ukrainian drivers are looking for alternative ways to cross the border, which is why queues at the border with other neighboring countries of Ukraine have increased in recent days. The largest number of vehicles at the Tisza checkpoint from the territory of Hungary is 1.4 thousand.
As for humanitarian and other important cargo, they are arriving in Ukraine, Demchenko added.
