This was reported in the Telegram channel of the Defense Forces of southern Ukraine.
“In the operational zone of the Defense Forces of southern Ukraine, air defense units intensively repelled a massive attack of drones for more than 4.5 hours, coming both from the sea and from the temporarily occupied part of the Kherson region,” the report says.
A total of 20 drones were destroyed in the south:
- 11 in the Odessa region;
- six in the Nikolaev region;
- two in the Kherson region;
- one in the Dnepropetrovsk region.
As a result of the Russian attack:
- A building was damaged by one of the drones at an industrial facility in the Odessa region. Rescuers quickly extinguished the fire. No people were injured;
- When a kamikaze drone hit an open area of the Nikolayev region, it damaged a power line.
The enemy once again insidiously sent attack drones through residential areas and industrial areas of populated areas, which made the work of air defense forces more difficult, the defense forces note.
The press service of the Nikolaev OVA noted that as a result of a shahed hit in an open area, a power line outside the settlement of the Snigirevskaya community was damaged, as a result of which two settlements were de-energized. Work is underway to restore power supply. There were no casualties.
