About 30 million tons of cargo, mainly agricultural products, were delivered to world markets, said Bridget Brink.
Ukraine has sent 1,005 ships along the humanitarian corridor in the Black Sea. This was announced yesterday by US Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink on social media. X.
“More than 1,000 ships left Black Sea ports in Ukraine, delivering nearly 30 million tons of cargo, including grain, to world markets,” he wrote.
Despite the war with Russia, Ukraine continues to support jobs and businesses, grow its economy and supply the world with essential goods, Brink said.
Earlier it became known that in February, exports through the sea corridor broke records since the beginning of Russia’s full invasion. Shipments were carried to 42 countries.
Let’s recall that in August 2023, the Ukrainian Navy announced new temporary routes for the movement of civilian ships to/from Black Sea ports after the termination of the grain agreement involving the UN, Turkey and Russia in July. After that, the Russian army began to actively build ports in the Odessa region.
