The United States sends the first ship to build a port in Gaza

US authorities have sent a ship with equipment to establish a sea corridor to deliver humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip. About this Saturday, March 9, reported at the US Central Command (CENTCOM).

Earlier, US President Joe Biden ordered the Pentagon to build a temporary port to deliver humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip. At the same time, Biden assured that there is no American military in the enclave.

Subsequently, a representative of the Pentagon explained the initiative of Biden: the project involves the creation of a floating pier, where cargo will probably be imported from Cyprus for further delivery to the coast of small ship The US military is present on ships off the coast and will not step ashore. Planning and implementation of the temporary port will take several weeks, according to the Pentagon.
