In the Kharkov region on the evening of March 7, a 25-year-old resident of the village of Malaya Rogan, Kharkov region, threw an RGD-5 fragmentation grenade under a neighbor’s car parked near the house.

The man was detained, criminal proceedings were opened under Part 4 of Art. 296 (hooliganism) of the Criminal Code. This was reported by the press service of the Kharkov region police.
While intoxicated, he took a grenade from the balcony and went outside, the report says. — On the street, he approached a Kia Sorento car, which was parked near the house. In the presence of people on the street, he took an RGD-5 fragmentation grenade out of his pocket, took the pin out of it and threw it under the car.
As a result of the grenade explosion, the car was damaged. The woman was at home at the time of the explosion; there were no injuries.
It is noted that the man discovered the grenade in the winter of 2024 in the Bogodukhovsky district.
The Kharkov Regional Prosecutor’s Office notes that the damaged car belongs to a Ukrainian soldier, whom the attacker thus decided to “revenge” against the backdrop of long-term hostile relations. The issue of choosing a preventive measure for the suspect in the form of detention is being decided.
