The next meeting of the Contact Group on the Defense of Ukraine (Ramstein format) will be held at the Ramstein Air Base in Germany on March 19. This was reported by Radio Liberty with reference to a commentary by the US Air Force in Europe.
“US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin plans to hold a face-to-face meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group at Ramstein Air Base, Germany, on March 19, 2024,” the statement said.
Austin again invited the world’s defense secretaries and senior military officials to “discuss the crisis in Ukraine” and the various security challenges facing US allies and partners, the Air Force said.
We previously wrote about the meeting that took place on January 23 online. Its participants discussed the issue of increasing the supply of long-range weapons to Ukraine and adapting Western-style anti-aircraft missiles to Soviet-era launchers.
