Police explosives technicians, during high-altitude mine clearance, neutralized the warhead of an enemy UAV. The wreckage of the Shahed was dangerous, but sappers dismantled it from a height of 55 m, which is equivalent to an 18-story building. The police of the Nikolaev region reported this on March 8.
Experts found that the warhead of the drone did not explode after being hit by Shahed, but remained inside the power generating substation, remaining dangerous to citizens.
Dismantling was complicated by the fact that part of the drone was located in a hard-to-reach place on the wind propeller. However, the bomb technicians of the National Police coped with the task.
Let us recall that on the night of March 8, the Russian occupiers attacked the south and east of Ukraine with one S-300 anti-aircraft guided missile, two X-59 guided aircraft missiles and 37 Shahed attack UAVs. Anti-aircraft missile units of the Air Force, mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces and electronic warfare. shot down 33 Shaheds within the Kirovograd, Odessa, Kherson, Nikolaev and Kharkov regions.
