The program entitles Ukrainians to immediate three-year work and residence permits in Canada, financial assistance and temporary free settlement.

In total, the Canadian government has received nearly 1.2 million applications for this visa, of which it has approved more than 960,000. Acceptance of new applications for the program is now closed; holders of such visas must arrive in Canada by the end of March to use it.

It was previously reported that in Canada it is expected that about 90 thousand Ukrainians will arrive in the country by March 31, 2024, because of this date you can enter Canada with a CUAET visa, which gives the right to special support.

We remind you that the US authorities have extended the period of stay of Ukrainian asylum seekers on American territory for up to 2 years.
